About Me
Hi there,
WHO WHE ARE:
Hi there,
we´re Josi and Peter and this is our shared couchsurfing account. Josi was born in Berlin and Peter in Rostock. Since autumn, Dresden is our common new home.
WHAT WE BOTH LIKE:
We both love climbing, hiking , snowboarding and travelling. In the evening, we also like to play some music together. We´re interested in politics, literature, theater, music and are always open-minded for new culture-influences. Beside, we like to hang around in little cafés and enjoy to cook. We love cakes and cookies! We both study psychology in Dresden.
...AND PETER:
Peter is playing guitar and likes to have a ride on his longboard at the Elbe ( Dresden´s river). In holiday he gives outdoor-courses for children and travels around.
...AND JOSI:
Josi likes to sing and paint. She´s working with handicapped people in her freetime and often visits museums and theaters.
OUR MISSION:
This month, we want to travel from Dresden (Germany) to Malaga (Spain) by hitchhiking. This is our first common journey, thats why our shared account is new and we don´t have any references yet. Nevertheless, we would be very happy to find some nice hosts on our way. If you want to, we could spend some time together and enjoy the place, wherever that will be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For us, couchsurfing is the best way to support travellers around with less money and to connect with people from different cultures and countries.
As already said, this is our first shared couchsurfing account but we both already made some couchsurfing experiences on our own (e.g. in Denmark, New Zealand, France and at our places). We always enjoyed it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably this is the best Part for describing our trip to malaga.
On wednesday the 18th we started hitchhiking from Tübingen to Freiburg. It was the First time for us going this route and so, of course we did Not take the straight way (leaving the highway might lead to a nice rest, but can be a bit frustrating). On the other Hand we met a great bunch of people before we arrived in Freiburg on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
The way from Freiburg to lyon was a very nice one: we got picked up by Victor, a very openminded truck driver, who took us to the closest gas station before lyon.
In lyon we stayed with corentin and his flatmate, had a good time with them for two days and started into the yet hardest part of our journey on saturday the 21st:
Again we were Set oft next to the highway, it started to rain and after an exhausting day we decided to stay a night in a hostel in valence, about 100 km south of lyon^^.
on Sunday we profitted of the difficulties before. We stayed on the highway, were very lucky with the lifts (we met baptiste the 3 year old Boy, who is a 'grand garcon' since a few days before and Henry the dog) and so the day ended on a campsite near narbonne and the spanish border.
Right now, monday, we join a german couple and henry the dog to Barcelona, their caravan behind the car.
We are looking forward to spain and are curious, how the journey will continue more south!
