Overview
About Me
I paint pictures and play the fiddle. I enjoy a laugh and a story, I love to linger a while in a new land and meet the good people of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great way to get around and be in the world. Love it.
Interests
I wouldn't mind learning to ride a horse. I'm not very good at that, but I like riding bikes, ping pong, floating on the water, the first mango of summer, mulberries, vietnamese food, red wine, the sickly-sweet smell of big cities like Paris or Saigon, muckin about in the bush, reading in the sun, sitting on verandahs, swinging in hammocks. All that good stuff

Billie Holiday, Jacques Brel, Django Reinhardt, all the old stuff ... for movies; Great Expectations, Henry and June, Beasts of the Southern Wild ... for books; Confederacy of Dunces, Cryptomonicon, Jitterbug Perfume
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a ferris wheel once, it's only as big as me, but it goes around in a romantic creaky ship-like way and a light shines through the carriages as they spin which makes nice shadows on the roof when you turn the lights off.
