Merhaba! I am a student from Istanbul who is in love with this city.

NOTE: I wrote this profile 3 years ago and now I'm a student who works about 30 hours a week, so I barely have time to do any extra-curricular activity. Trying to make a good CV for an abroad graduate school scholarship here...

I am an easygoing person I usually say 'yes' to everything. If someone would ask me to go to China tomorrow for an example I would say 'okay'

Additionally, I'm a very open minded person who is able to try anything attracts me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is the greatest way to host and visit another country with locals, isn't it?

Interests

I like a lot of things!
I like watching movies. Not just watching but also searching. Like who is the director? What are the names of the characters? How many years did it take to publish? What about soundtracks? What people think about the movie? etc.
Also I can say that I really like maths. A lot to learn but it's a way to think about the world from a different point of view.
I love every kind of animal and if I had a big house I'm sure that it would be look like a zoo.
I really like painting, drawing but I don't know how to do it. I wish I'll learn it in future.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies, hmm. Hollywood is not my first option -anymore. I'm trying to watch more movies around the world. Kokuhaku, Fa Yeung Nin Wa and 2046, The Dark Knight (Also Batman Begins but not The Dark Knight Rises), American Beauty, La vie d'Adéle, Jagten, Before Sunrise&Sunset&Midnight... the ones highly recommended.
Also アニメが大好きですよ。NANA, Paradise Kiss, White Album 2, Chihayafuru, Death Note, Psycho-Pass are the ones I like the most. I don't know why but If it's necessary to compare, I prefer animes because they can make me feel more emotions while watching it.
About books, I like Turkish literature. My peers are more interested in such books have series or movies but I usually don't prefer them. In my opinion, a book must have a literary value. I mean I don't know other countries but in Turkey 50 Shades of Grey, Vampire Academy(?) was reaaaalllly popular one time. Why do people read them?
I also like French, Russian and English literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Umm, nothing? I've hosted a Colombian girl for 4 months, and I think this is the best by far. Also my cats! But do they count?

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really interested in learning some words in some languages. These words are really limited by now but i would like to be bilingual person in future.
I want to learn play the violin -I have one but it needs a tonic chord(is that the word?) and how to draw!

If you want to learn about Turkish, I know more than a regular person about Turkish grammar. I can help you with pleasure.
Also I can teach you how to cook Turkish dishes.

Actually i live in a quite big home, 1-2 rooms empty with furniture, which is close to transportation, also it's only 15 minutes to Taksim by bus for an example.
P.S: If you can go somewhere within 15 minutes in İstanbul, that place is close!
