CURRENT MISSION
We are 2 best friends traveling 3 month to India. To discover the country, their culture and learn about Ayurvedic medicine, Yoga, Meditation, Bollywood Dancing, Indian music... with a photography/video/sound project.
India as always been a dream of ours and why are we on this earth other than to fulfill our dreams? :-)
My name is Carmen (I am the other friend going to India) I come from southern Spain, Murcia.
Since I am a kid I've always been passionate about dancing, movement, music (specially arabic and indian music) and photography.
One of them, photography, I've been able to develop as my main profession and I currently live from it. After a profound and wide experience as a photographer and videographer I've decided to leave my current job (that was very comercial and didn't feed my soul) and use part of the money to travel India and make a personal project there.
I'd like to translate the essence of India that fascinates me to this Occidental world where I live.
On the other hand, I've been dancing (non-professionnaly) ever since I have legs. Specially belly dance, bollywood and ethnique dances in general.
I love Bollywood movies and another one of my dreams would be to deepen my that style of dance and learn and experience the traditional Indian dances.
Rachel and I have been wanting to make a trip like this for a very long time and now it's HAPPENING! :-)

My name is Rachel, I come from a French family that immigrated to Spain when I was 2 years old. I was raised in Southern Spain, immersed in spanish culture always moving from place to place, but always staying in the warm South.
When I was 18 I decided to follow my dreams as a musician so I left for beautiful Montreal spending 5 years there. Living "the dream" of being a musician.
After not being able to stay in Canada (Visa problems) I came back to Europe.
Little did I know that life had a completely different plan for me! Like they say you have to be lost on order to be found...
So my life as taken a totally different direction from what I thought...
I had always been passionated about the anatomy of the body. If all the macrocosm resides inside of us, what more beautiful than learn and discover the microcosm of our inner selfs in order to understand this macrocosm we live in.
So I started getting more and more into Ayurvedic medicine, Yoga, Music healing, Meditation, Massage, Natural ways of healing of the body, etc
And here I am today going to India in order to do some research and find a place to study for the future and get deeper knowledge about this ancient sciences.
The one thing I can say about me is that I love Life! (with all the emotions that involve Loving) and I love people, laughing, sharing, growing, learning, teaching, getting inspired and inspire!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

By giving, sharing, learning, teaching, laughing, growing, inspiring, hosting, meeting people. By being present every moment to experience life to it's fullest and all the possibilities and dreams that it provides!

Interests

I will be traveling with my best friend/soul sister to India :-)
We are both in a crossroads of our life where we are going threw many changes and the opportunity to travel India presented itself in our lifes. It is the time for a new adventure!
We will be traveling many different parts of India (New Delhi, Rishikesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, gujarat, Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru, Kerala, tamil Nadu...) with an artistic project involving photography and sound.
We look forward for this trip and meeting the amazing people that we'll cross in our path and make this trip forth living!

And above all we Love a good LAUGH (you know, the one that makes your belly hurt)! It is the best medicine :-)
