About Me

I am a curious soul roaming the earth, intrigued by beautiful people and experiences, inspired by nature, art, philosophical conversations and surprising moments! I don’t do so well with small talk (I tend to ask you many questions out of my curiosity to know more about you) and then dive right into the deep topics! I live for those types of convos- the ones that reveal layers of our humanity and what makes each of us unique. I love a good adventure - one that makes for a great story. I am a good listener, and tend to hold space for others more than I take up space!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don’t have many couchsurfing experiences though I’m a world traveler! I’ve been lucky this far in the almost 30 countries I’ve visited to have had good friends who hosted me or to have been there for work. At the moment I made the choice to be nomadic, working from different places and joining this community on this adventure. I hope to have a welcoming home at some moment soon in which to host you!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Danit Treubig, world music (really, anything from different parts of the world, from African drumming to Lebanese Dabke, to belly dancing, to salsa and bachata, to hindi -- I can sing a song in hindi!) -- any old school latin vibes, Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodriguez.

Books: A Thousand Splendid Suns, All the Light we Cannot See, The Shock Doctrine, Open Veins of Latin America, The Last Lecture, A New Earth, Women who Run with the Wolves, Big Creative, Brave New World, Turning to One Another

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked Machu Pitchu on a solo journey.
I kissed a giraff in Kenya.
I learned to cook my mom’s recipe of a Lebanese dish ;)
I lived in a shaman’s home and built a temazcal.
I started my own project and worked with 250 women in 8 countries across South America for a year.
... ask me about the rest!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Languages (Arabic, English, French); belly dance or dabke, lots about water and climate change :)

Share: stories, laughs, deep questions! I may even invite you to paint in my journal ;)

Learn: anything from your perspective.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Deep conversations, sincere curiosity, cooking vegetarian meals, a good glass of red wine, a good kick of motivation to follow your dreams, a smile!
