Hello! This is a joint account for both Jamie and Heather. We are two travelers from North Carolina who are making our way around the US while living out of the back of our Honda Element named Ellie. We could tell you all about her but the gist is that we have converted the back into a bed/storage and we love her. Jamie is a relocated Canadian who spent most of his life in the great city of Raleigh, NC. Heather grew up in a gypsy family in which she spent the first 10 years in Las Vegas,NV, the next 10 in Boone, NC and the last 6 in Raleigh, NC (where she met Jamie!) We have picked up our life in Raleigh and are planning to relocate to Asheville, NC after this trip. In our free time we enjoy cooking, visiting family, walking places (usually to drink beer or buy groceries), playing games (card, board, you name it we probably play it), binge watching netflix, and pretty much anything that seems cool. Jamie really likes pool too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As much as we love our car and sleeping in it we also love meeting new people and being able to see their hometowns through their eyes. We also like showers... which aren't easy to come by when you live out of a Honda Element (maybe you could work on that Honda?)

Music, Movies, and Books

Jamie- Music: Mountain Goats, Aesop Rock, Classic Rock ... Movies: Fargo ... Books: I like books.

Heather-- Music: Avett Brothers(NC woot woot), Coldplay, Mumford and Sons, Fleetwood Mac... this could go on for a while... Movies: I prefer to binge on tv shows but I do like The Lorax :) Books: I usually go for the super easy to read young adult genre (preferably the ones recommended to me by my 14 year old niece)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Heather- My life is a series of amazing moments.

Jamie- I got a few participation trophies from my early soccer days. And by a few, like 12. No big deal.

Teach, Learn, Share

Jamie and I are very different people with completely different thoughts on life so our entire relationship has been a series of learning moments and compromises.

Jamie speaks spanish (almost) fluently and has been very helpful to me in leanring. I'm sure he'd be happy to help anyone else interested.

We have also done a fair amount of traveling between the two of us and would be happy to share anything we can about our travels thus far.

We are also pretty good at cooking.. we have a few go to recipes we'd be happy to share with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We would love to cook you a meal!! We love making breakfast and dinner foods mostly... although we can make a mean turkey sandwich if you are interested :) Heather doesn't eat red meat, pork or fish. We tend to eat quite a bit of vegetarian meals but we're happy to throw chicken into the mix. We also have Cards Against Humanity. Which kinda sells itself.
