About Me

Building stories of Earth & Joy !

A free spirited mind always looking forward to learn new cultures and explore my freedom . last 5 years been learning ,travelling and meeting people is what have explored .
As job was making it difficult for me to become more than just tourists. With my limited vacation time it is often difficult to really immerse myself into a new place and culture. Hence the reason I quit my job and started working for the development of rural people in India .
Presently i am working on development of rural handicraft in India and creating a platform for sustainability.

History has it that handicrafts have been the soul of Indian lifestyle for centuries. Proofs of handcrafted products dating back to Indus Valley Civilization corroborate the fact that these works of art were revered by the people to add color and art to their lives. Handicrafts have been an immortal part of the Indian civilization and the concept of these artistic expressions have been spinning around religious believes, ideations, a craze amongst the royalty and for foreign trade purposes. What also worked wonders for the handicraft tradition in India was the amalgamation of different cultures that flourished under the craftsmen who welcomed new ideas and incorporated them to produce some of the finest products that the world has ever seen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most of my conversations about Couchsurfing begin with the question “but isn’t it really sketchy?”, accompanied by a raised eyebrow and look of concern. It’s difficult to convince people who have no knowledge of Couchsurfing’s mission that the hospitality exchange network is not only not sketchy at all, but is in fact the best possible way travel, especially for those who want to fully and deeply experience the culture of the place they are visiting. Here are 14 of the many reasons why Couchsurfing is the best option for an adventurous and open-minded (and not to mention, cash-strapped) traveler.
