Overview
About Me
As a person I am cheerful, smart and enthusiastic. In my life I try to avoid routine and I constantly seek for new and exciting experiences. I am currently a student of Film and History and Philosophy of Art (Joint honours) at University of Kent in Canterbury, UK, and I enjoy it enormously. During my free time I do some sports, read, watch movies, draw, design, write, dance, play in movies and spend time with my friends and family. I am also a freelance fashion model.
I approach life with curiosity, optimism, and a sense of adventure, almost like a child ;) The sole idea of travelling inspires me and gives me motivation and energy to keep going.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love inspiring people and I dream about travelling more around the world. I believe what really matters is to live life to the fullest, to discover hidden paths, to delve into conversations with people, listen to their stories, taste new experiences - it's to say "yes" and to give yourself a chance. You never know what you will learn and what will become your passion.
Interests
I am generally open to new ideas and I am usually very eager to try something more. Hence, I have a broad range of interest. That includes sports like horse riding, karate, ballet, jazz dance, gymnastics, fencing, hockey, cheerleadering, tai chi, diving, salsa dance, yoga and... walking with my beloved dog ;D
Also, I love cooking some fancy stuff (I am addicted to searching for new recipes on Pinterest!), as well as drawing, designing fashion, reading books, watching movies (film student ;D), acting and listening to music.
I play piano and flute, and I write adventurous/fantasy book for young adults, who, like me, just start their adult life but still remember the magic of childhood.
I am keen on learning languages and studying cultures (e.g. anthropology of culture, folkor, mythologies).

Music, Movies, and Books
I was brought up on Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes. I love mystery novels, as well as adventure books, fantasy, poems, dramas, movie scripts and... almost every genre of literature. Some writers I respect particularly include Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Oscar Wilde, Bernard Werber, Jostein Gaarder, Arthur Golden, Libba Bray, Agatha Christie, David Mitchell, Arthur Japin, Rafał Kosik, Goethe, Joanne Harris, Lisa See, Mika Waltari, Kerstin Gier, Umberto Eco, Cornelia Funke, Terry Pratchett and Pierdomenico Baccalario.
When it comes to music, I will just note that my favourites are indie, jazz, folk, rock, 20s, 40s, 50s and instrumental. Music has huge importance for me. I could not imagine travelling without it.
I shall not speak about movies, TV series, and anime, since it would take me ages. But if you are truly interested, just ask ^.^
P.S. Wes Anderson and Woody Allen are just so amazing!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Diving in Costa Brava!
I was quite nervous since it was my first time, I was alone and my teacher spoke in language that I didn't really understand (which was Czech). It was a very spontaneous decision, made in last minute. As soon as I got under the water, my teacher instructed me (with sign language) to pull my snorkel out from my mouth - to check if I am confident enough. I panicked completely and froze for a second, searching the surface with my eyes. But everything went just fine. And the world underwater was so beautiful! I catched an octopus, small fish tickled me when I was swimming, and I hold a starfish in my hands. My teacher made even some photos and movies with his underwater camera and I had an amazing time, even if I could not have got out from water without help (these air cylinders are awfully heavy!). It was a great adventure and the best suprise still waited for me - I was invited for a traditional flamenco night in a charming small castle. And somehow, despite different languages, I communicated with my teacher freely.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Spanish, English and Polish, as well as some intermediate French and some basic Japanese.
In exchange, I would be very happy to learn some Italian, Chinese and more of Japanese. And probably, any other language as well!
What is more, I will share my passions and stories with pleasure. In return, I will be delighted to hear what you find interesting or beautiful in your life, what keeps you going or what inspires you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be delighted to show my new home town (Canterbury) to any willing voyagers ;) as well as just hang out with people who share my desire to travel around the world.
At the moment, I rent a flat with my housemates and there is not much space for any guests, unless you don't mind sleeping on the couch ;)
Anyway, please do not hesitate to contact me! I am usually a very friendly person.
