About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe we live in a small world where people aren't so different form each other. We dream, we live, we eat and we enjoy. I wish to know the world better and for that I must travel it and it must travel to me. There is where couch surfing comes along.

Interests

I enjoy music, listening and playing it. Literature, cinema and plastic arts.
Though most of the week I am a couch potato watching a film or just a sitcom (Simpsons, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, Bob's Burgers or Top Gear) I like going out with friends and having just a little too much fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, and I love too many bands to list here. Anyway, from the top of my head, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, Jimi Hendrix, Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, Strokes, Tom Waits, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Tom Waits, The Smiths, Lou Reed, Kasabian, Klaxons, Maximo Park, The Wombats, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bloc Party, Depeche Mode and so many others...

Books, my favorite genre is novels. I am quite found of Hemingway, Aldus Huxley, Virginia Wolf, William Faulkner, George Orwell and portuguese writers, António Lobo Antunes, Jorge de Sena and Valter Hugo Mãe.

In movies my favorite western european directer is Truffaut, though I enjoy Fellini, Godard and Sergio Leone. In eastern european cinema my favourite directors are Kusturica and Andrey Zvyagintsev.
For american cinema my references are Polansky, Scorsese, Hitchcock, Nolan, Fincher, Ridley Scott and of course Francis Frod Coppola

Teach, Learn, Share

This is becoming a short story on me... and you are still reading! Brave.
Well, I can teach about Lisbon and talk about my culture. I want to learn about you and where you come from.
I will share my bread, salt and wine as a good host. (Get it?)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can play the guitar, tell humorous, stories and enjoy a good debate on current events or modern society. Also wine. I will bring wine.
