About Me
As the youngest of four children I grew up in a town in Germany, which is famous for being the ugliest town of the country. Therefore I was always curious to see other places and I’m quite easy to impress by the beauty of foreign places. Having lived one year in Costa Rica when I was about 15 years old, my thirst to see and Explorer far away places was awaken at an early age. After finishing my Bachelor Degrees I set out to discover the world. Realizing shortly afterwards that traveling isn’t free I worked at a coffee shop for a year. By a fortunate series of events I ended up in Asia. I love exploring the local cultures and try to be the least Tourist I can be and the most traveler/Explorer possible. In every country i visit I try to learn some part of the local language to catch up with locals and hear their stories. I’m slowly making my way to South America, with trying to not take any flights due to the environmental impact. On my way I’m looking to be surprised by the countries and cultures I find.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I‘m on couchsurfing to meet locals and get off the tourists paths. I like meeting other travelers from the west but I came to Asia to meet the Asian people and hear their stories/experience their way of living which I can’t find in my home country.
Interests
I‘m quite interested in different fields as art (especially performance art and contenporary art), music (deep house, reggae and recently Indian music) and spirituality/religions (I don‘t label myself with a belonging to a specific religion but rather believe in bits and pieces from different ones).
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book at the moment probably is ‚the artist is present‘ by Marina Abramovic. And my favorite movie would be ‚big times at the el royale‘ (if you haven’t seen it, watch it it’s amazing! 😁)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with my host my mediocre german cooking skills; tho I think sharing a yoga class is a better idea. I recently did a yoga teacher training in India and started teaching some friends on my travels. Also I can offer a reiki treatment, which I practice since about 4 years!
