About Me

I guess I am a pretty decent person. I really enjoy travelling and meeting new people.

I have helped my mom Anette Pilegaard with all of her surfers - To see references go to her profile

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy the idea of living with hosts. I like the idea of being close to the real citizens of the places I travel to, meet the locals.

I also have a lot of great experiences the other way around, hosting nice people from around the world in my parents house.

Interests

I like to try different things/exploring. I am interested in history and like to read many different books, learning new stuff every day. I enjoy cooking. I have also worked a lot with handicapped people and i really like sailing. I study Eastern European Studies at Copenhagen University.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste is music, movies and books is quite versatile i guess. But i can name drop a few of my faves.

Music: Beethoven, Bob Dylan and old hip hop like A Tribe Called Quest. If I had to pick one tune that would be the soundtrack of my life I think it would be the theme from the Third Man.

Movies: Hmm i really like Kubrick's films. Also the movie Dersu Uzala by Akira Kurosawa. I also like Andrei Tarkovsky's movies and The Big Lebowski by The Coen brothers.

Books: Some of my faves are Stendhal - The Red and the Black, Tolstoy - Anna Karenina, Joseph Conrad - Heart of Darkness, Nikolaj Gogol - Dead Souls and Gabriel Garcia Marquez - One Hundred Years of Solitude.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked some of the Camino together with a group of handicapped people and their helpers. I was really nice, because the guy i helped was a priest before he got a really bad case of sclerosis. He enjoyed it a lot.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would really like to practice my russian :)
