Overview
About Me
Hello, my name is Emily. I'm married. Me and my husband, Jiva, are planing to do couchsurfing together, so this is gonna be a shared profile from now on. Sometimes I may travel alone, too. We are Hungarians currently living in Vienna, Austria.
We love traveling, making new friends, discovering new cultures.
We are open minded, easy-going persons, vegetarians, non-smokers and we don't drink any alcohol.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are still new on this site, though I had my first couchsurfing experiences a couple of weeks ago during my solo trip in Italy and France. Back in the 1990s when I lived in South Africa, I had lots of spontaneous couchsurfing experiences :)
We joined this site to make new friends and share the fun of traveling.
Interests
We love nature. We are literaly a nature lovers.
We love hiking, walking around in cities especialy in the old part of them.
We love music. I used to play in a South American folk band playing the panflute. I still do that at times just for fun :) My husband, Jiva, plays the guitar :)
I like painting, watercolour is my favorite. And I also like to learn languages.
We are practicing Indian philosophy, meditation and nonviolent lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love maditative, relaxing music and the folk music of the Andes, mainly music from Bolivia, Peru and Equador.
My absolute favorites are the devotianal Indian melodies.
Jiva likes meditative music as well, but he also likes rock music.
We read books on spiritual subjects, and we also like fantasy stories such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, etc.
Basicaly the same goes for movies. Jiva loves action movies as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At the age of 20 I became vegetarian, which changed my whole life :)
At the age of 16 my husband became vegetarian, left school and became a young monk starting to practice spiritual life.
Teach, Learn, Share
We are learning the art of non-violent living through mantra meditation.
We like to share this with others, too.
I myself also love to learn about the art of traveling, because I think it is an art to do it right. Love to share travel experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can cook delicious vegetarian meals for our hosts, for example Indian dishes.
We can share our travel stories and experiences, some of them are really crazy like the spontaneous couchsurfing experiences I had in Africa before internet existed at all :)
And of course if one is interested we can share about the lifestyle I'm practicing.
