About Me
Hi guys and gals, the name's Philipp.
I'm a german, brought up in the deep woods of Westerwald (which directly translates into "western forest") in Rheinland-Pfalz, that one day got lost and found his way to Konstanz. On a whiff of destiny I enrolled as a student there and now I study biology in one of germanys most beautiful (and expensive) cities.
As a german I speak fluent german (I know you're shoked!) and as a part of my profession (and everyday-life) nearly as fluent english.
Also as a part of my profession, I'm very often busy the whole day except in the evening...time consuming thing this science stuff. That of course comes free of charge.
What else is there to say? I do sports, I read a lot (mostly Fantasy), I have a few older and newer gaming consoles, I watch(ed) anime, I love puns and all the bad jokes that come with them and have no problem laughing about mean jokes, even if they're shooting in my direction. I also like to learn about new stuff a lot, natural curiosity, also comes free of charge with the science stuff.
That's the reason why I'd like to welcome you on my "couch" if you want to take a small trip to Konstanz and see the Bodensee = lake constance (and spit over the border to Switzerland ;-) ).
Though be prepared, the couch you're hoping for is actually an air-mattress of 10 cm thickness, 200x66 cm. Sadly I can't offer more than that, so please take that into consideration.
If you want to visit, write me and we'll figure something out.
Have fun on your trip!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A buddy of mine invited me on a small travel tour with him.
Together we visited 4 cities: Berlin, Prag, Amsterdam and Ljubljana (Slowenia).
After traveling 2 weeks with him and meeting so many different people and talking with them, I knew I wanted to take any chance to meet more travelling people.
So that's why I registered here.
Interests
Well, I did write about that before so I'll try to cover a few other things.
Besides being very interested in science (you don't study that stuff without interest) I'm also a passionate bicycle rider. As in 80km +-tours in 1 day .
I just like that stuff.
If I need a bit of relaxation I usually listen to music. Currently, that's Eminem, though Rap is usually not my genre. I'm more of a hardrock kind of guy that also likes a bit of classic and different genres mixed with techno or electro.
Still looking for that one piece with techno/electro in the background and a fast paced, dominant piano in the spotlight. Hard to find that kind of stuff.
I think I wrote about nearly every other interest I have already.
If you want to find out more just write me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Eminem - For the feeling that he's talking to you about how he's feeling in his songs. Incubus - Just an incredibly good band
Movies: 8 mile, V for Vendetta
Books: I don't think I have a favourite in that department. I know a lot of good books, the Askir-series (not translated into english, sorry my friends). Jacob the lier is a really nice piece of literature. Also David Gemmel is worth a read, though you might feel his writing style is repetitive after 2-3 books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taking up Life-Action-Role-Play (LARP) and participating on ConQuest 2016. It was amazing.
