Nearing the end of my first cycle of medical school applications, I'm not having much luck, and am not anticipating an acceptance. Now with another year before potentially entering medical school, I'm going to travel as much as I can. I'll be starting in Peru working in a rural medical clinic, then moving around for leisure.

When I was a child, I was fortunate enough to travel frequently with my father. He's a Greek immigrant, and every time we would visit Greece we would usually travel to another country and stay with friends of his. You experience a country in such a different, better way when staying with a local, and wouldn't want to travel any other way.

Although my professional degrees are in engineering, my major hobbies are music composition and cooking. If I'm not doing either of these things I'm likely hiking about the Arizona wilderness, weight training, reading, or working on learning web and app development. I also love giving back to my community, and I do this currently by volunteering at my local boys and girls club (helping little kids with homework and dominating in dodgeball), a hospital in the MedSurg unit, and with a group that provides transportation and other services to the elderly in my community.

I love all types of music, but really have a passion for ambient and progressive sounds... and metal. I love technical death metal.

I'm not huge into movies, I'll watch just about anything. If I had to choose though, probably Cool Runnings.

I'm a tutor by trade, and absolutely love teaching. I have many skills ranging from wood work to music theory and an eclectic knowledge of many subjects from world history to inorganic chemistry, and love to share and teach to anyone who will listen. Nonetheless, I prefer to listen and learn, and rarely speak unless spoken to.
