Hi! My name is Elena and I'm 21 years old. I was born in Madrid and there's also where I live. I'm living with my parents, while I finish college degree. Unfortunately, that's the reason why I can't host anyone. I'm studying Biology at University and this is my last year. I'd describe myself as good student, perfectionist, energetic and positive person. But above everything I'm an open minded person and I always respect every opinion or lifestyle. I like to learn new things from other cultures and to do so I try to travel as much as I can.

I love traveling and knowing new countries. In my opinion, the best way to really get to know a culture, its customs and traditions is through the people who live there. Therefore when I first heard from the idea of couchsurfing, I thought it was something I wanted to do. Then I heard the great experiences some friends had had couchsurfing and I definitively decided to join the site. So here I am!

兴趣

I'm a quite person who know how to appreciate a good book, a good song or a good movie. Also I like to visit art exhibitions and museums. These are my main interests, but I also like philosophy and politics. As a molecular biology student, I'm very interested in science, which could be considered my great passion. But traveling is the one hobby that englobe all my interests.

I listen to almost every music style and I'm open to listen any kind. Some of my favourite bands or singers are Black Keys, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks, Mumford and Sons, Two Door Cinema Club, Vampire weekend, Adele, Amy Whinehouse and Aretha Frankling.

Some of my favourite movies are Once, Star Wars, Chicago, Once, The pianist, Pulp Fiction, La vita è vela, This is England, Gran Torino, Intouchables, Million Dollar Baby, Inception, Whiplash...

My favourite books are the Harry Potter saga, 1984 and The diary of a young girl (written by Anna Frank).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I care about people and like children, so four years ago I started volunteering in a hospital from my community where I go every week to play with the kids that unfortunately are staying there. It started being a challenge, because it was something really hard to do. But with every hug they gave me and every story they told me about themselves, I learn to value the really important things in live. They've taught me how to be strong and how to be positive no matter what. This is why this is one of the best things I've done in my life, because it makes me a better person and let me help other people who really need it.
