Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am going to Shanghai to work at a theatre festival late April. Will be staying at a hotel for the major part of my visit, but thought it might be fun to try out couch surfing towards the end, in hope of getting a better feel for the city!

Interests

I love movies and would like to work in the film business at some time. Also love the theatre, literature and music. Occasional super nerdy gamer and internet fanatic. My soul is burning for animal rights and environmental issues and I am dreaming of a better planet for all of it's inhabitants :)

Music: R&B, Hip hop, Post rock, Folk music

Movies: loads of classics. All time absolute favorites would be The Deer Hunter, The Graduate, One flew over the Cuckoo's nest, Midnight Cowboy, Paris Texas, Most of Kubricks movies, Most of Lynch's works, Tarantino, FF Coppola, and too many sci/fi, superhero and apocalyptic movies to list :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Half Swede, half Inuit. When I was young (and not yet vegan:), I spent some summers on Greenland. The sun never set, and we went on week-long hunts on the polar ice with nothing but a tent and a dog sled. I have never experienced such light, and such an overwhelming closeness to nature.

I'd love to get a feel for the local day-to-day life. Maybe share stories and philosophies? Different point of views and opinions of everything from global issues to just taste in music and movies :)
