About Me

I am a 27 year old woman from Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. I am working as a business analyst at the Quebec government. I have a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in public administration.

I mostly travel with my husband, who is 29 year old. He has the same study background because we met in college and we have been together ever since! :) He is working as an information agent at Laval University while completing is master's degree part time.

We are really easy-going people, who just want to enjoy all the little moments in life. We are open minded, respectful and willing to discover new things. We always liked to meet new people and learn about other cultures; we are very social and caring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to have the chance to meet wonderful people when I am travelling and get to know the place I am visiting from a local perspective.

And because I cannot travel all the time, welcome people to my home allows me to travel by meeting interesting new people from everywhere.

We never had the chance to Couchsurf so far, because we haven't been able to travel a lot... We hope that would change now that we are done studying!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't travel a lot so far, but I had the chance to do a few cultural exchanges over the years and I participated for several years in a twinning program for foreign students at the University. That gave me the opportunity to meet new and interesting people, while giving them support. Some of them became really good friends.

My husband and I also lived for 3 months in a family in Burkina Faso as we were doing an international cooperation internship program. The same year, we worked as tree planters for 4 months in British Columbia (Canada). Those were the most formative experiences of my young life! We also had the opportunity to host several foreigners in our apartment ; all without exception had a great time with us and enjoyed the comfort of our couch!;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn longboarding, surfing, kayaking, diving, wakeboarding... To keep being active during the summer too! ;)

I have intermediate to advanced skills in snowboarding, so I can teach you if you'd like to try it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have a really comfortable couch for 2 people. We are very caring people so we will welcome you to make you feel like home. We can cook you typical meals if you are interested and we can give you tips on what to visit and show you around.

Our apartment is small, but welcoming, clean and quiet. The location is also ideal if you want to visit Quebec City : downtown, in the touristic area, walking distance to all points of interests, bus stops all around, a lot of restaurants and groceries close, etc.
