About Me

Hi, I'm Ching-Yun from Taiwan.

((I'm not in Taiwan from 5 July to 15 September.
So if you need a host in Taiwan, I cannot help during this period. But feel free to contact me if you want to learn more about Taiwan!))

Now back to me :)))
My friend say that I am a crazy girl cuz I laugh all the time haha.
I'm now kind of tired of living under the principles that our society imposes on us.
We humans are born to live for ourselves right!
(And for our family, friends, and lover kekeke
I'm that person who can be really quite but can be talkative at the same time, depending on the situation.
I'm so curious about how people live their wonderful life and so eager to learn more about each other.
Hope can meet you guys and make friends soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend told me about this platform.
Then I find that it's a really nice way to travel more deeply and make all the tours affordable.
I prefer to stay with local people and get to know the culture there.
(Actually I find myself couldn't just go to tons of thousands of tourist attractions without interacting to people. That means nothing to me!)
And through Couchserfing, I had lots of wonderful moments with those amazing people, which I cherish gratefully.

So far, I haven't done any acception in Taiwan.
(Forgive me, I'm just a newvoice and fully participating in it recently :p)
But I'm sure meeting up with guest will be wonderful as my surfing as well!
And I'm going to do so after back to Taiwan :)))

Interests

Jogging!
I do some light jogging usually in the evening because it's really hot in the morning in Taiwan.
Jogging help me to relieve myself and get rid of the stress.
I also do the road running sometimes and feel totally exhausted haha.

Love photography too!
I enjoy pressing shutter and record every meaningful moment through the pics.
But to be honest, I'm not that professional and just do it for fun.
So don't expect too much haha

Sometimes I cook for my family.
Actually I just put some ingredients together randomly, but they always love them!
So I guess I may have the talent to cook! B-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books**
I'm especially fond of reading something about religious mystery (The Da Vinci Code) or about the magic world. It's just so fantastic!
Oh Harry Potter series are nice as well. How can these guys come up with such the great works!!
I'd also love to read works dealing with human nature or faith, including The Pilgrim's Progress, Brigid of Kildare...

Music **
When I was little, I was fascinated with the classical music, and could even recognized many works by just listening some part of the melody, Vivaldi, Bach, Haydn, Mahler, Strauss, Chopin....Yeah, I'm going to be a musician; you are absolutely right! B-)
Oh no kidding!!!! I have almost forgotten them all......
Now I just listen to anything presented on YouTube, FB, Ads randomly.
( I guess most of them are Pop music.)
My favorite song for now is still Somebody That I Used to Know, which I've listened to for 3 consecutive years haha.
Or you can recommend what you love to me!

Movie**
French movie is my favorite. I somehow like the incompletion of the plot and even the unhappy ending attracts me well. Many of them reveal the life of the minority who are ignored by the majority in our society but without using any exaggeration trying to overemphasize them. If you are interested, 'L'élégance du hérisson' and 'La vie d'Adèle' are highly recommended. ^_____^

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did volunteer in Emmaüs Rédéne, an organization aims to help people in property and homelessness, where no one spoke English!
(Actually other 5-6 volunteers did, but all the residents in the community only spoke French, the language I still couldn't handle with :p)
It was such a challenging and also interesting task for me.
Most of the time being with local people, we communicated with each other in sign language and very few basic/simple French words!
And that was really really really interesting.. believe me:))

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook some simple traditional Taiwanese food and sing the popular songs in Asia. (( but on my own way haha))
If you are a talkative person, we can chat a lot and find are there many differences between our cultures. :)))))

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, China, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand
