I'm 23, originally from Washington, DC, but obsessed with life in Bergen, Norway. I love life as an expat, and have moved to Norway permanently. I am a full time masters student, but try to travel whenever I get a chance.

It's amazing meeting new people and getting to experience the city as a local. I'm also a student on a budget! (First time couch surfing).

I enjoy anything good, especially music I can dance or relax to. I love movies with a lot of dialogue or interesting locations/ plots. Some favorites: the English Patient, Lawrence of Arabia, 1000 Times Good Night, Good Will Hunting, anything Bond.... Trying to read more, a favorite author is Malcolm Gladwell.

I've been an expat for almost 4 years now! Moved to Hong Kong when I was 19 for half of my bachelor's (2 years). Also spent a summer living in Beijing to study Mandarin. Afterwards I moved to Bergen, Norway July 2011 and don't plan on leaving Norway unless it's to travel!

I love to share my travel stories, and have discussions on culture. I am also an insane cook! Specialties are tacos & Thai food and I can definitely teach you some good recipes (even make my own sushi).
