I’m Melissa, Ho Chia Yuan, and I am a undergraduate student major in psychology. The characters in my name, Chia and Yuan, have the same pronunciation of plus and circle in Chinese. The word Yuan is especially meaningful because it represents notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, entirety and tolerance. In this respect, I have a similar personality in that I’m open-minded, curious about the world and willing to try many things.
I am involved in a theatrical troupe for public musical performance, a student ambassador, and I am also a member in the vocal club, street dance club, and the guitar club.
I’m interested in both counseling psychology and positive psychology, and I hope I can combine my professional interests and my hobbies together in the future. That’s me！

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The world is amazing and I hope to explore it more, also I want to make friends with people all around the world, and to broaden my vision.
And since I major in psychology, I'm willing to discover all the cultural differences on people I met.
In my point of view, to really know a place and people in that place, is to really spend time with them or live with them, that's why I'm on CS :)

Interests

Singing, dancing, acting, and all kinds of arts as long as it's a way to express human's feelings. I can play a bit of the piano and the guitar.Photography, gardening, playing with animals, all the nature stuff, traveling, watching movies, shows, going to exhibitions, reading.
