About Me

Hi I'm Ana :) I studied Political Science and Economics in Jena. Based on my studies I want to expand my knowledge in the field of understanding the actions of politicians in countries all over the world. Therefore I'm interested in the opinions that people have apart from official media about politics and their everyday life in their homecountry.

To sum up: I'm open-minded, excited to meet new people and have a biiiiig smile :D I love to laugh so I think we will have a great time :)

Mission: be open-minded and do not loose your curiosity :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to get to know new people, to talk or party with them :) Just enjoying the good things in life through sharing them with others :) And I believe that the only way to discover new places in total, is by meeting people who live there - this will totally change your impression of the place

Interests

I grew up with Jazz music and classical music :) and also played soprano, alto and tenor flute. I cannot imagine to live without this music and all the good memories that are connected with it.
Some recommendations:
I have visited the ALFA Jazz Fest(ival) (now "Leopolis" - 2018) in Lwiw in June 2017. It was amazing - I love that the concerts were for free. They even offered free WiFi in front of the stages. They had beautiful locations for their stages and great bands/musicians! I highly recommend you to visit "both" the city and the festival ;)
When I lived in North Rhein-Westphalia my father had an abonnement for the Essen philharmonic orchestra - a good destination for classical music and other cultural activities :)

Music, Movies, and Books

DJs: Don Diablo

I can recommend you "Radio Swiss Classic" and "Radio Swiss Jazz" (no news and no advertisement, just music)

I am always open for new music genres/movies/books, so don´t hesitate to show me your favourites :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think you can have easily more than one amazing thing that you did/experienced - value the little things ;)

In 2008 I have visited different countries during an Interrail journey with my older brother. We travelled through France, Spain, Portugal and Austria for 4 weeks and it was overwhelming :) During that trip I got the best sleep in my life - under a very big old tree next to a train station :D

This year (2017) I spent my Erasmus-Semester in Lublin (Poland) and I got many new beautiful memories with amazing people and places :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak German with you. We can bake together or just have good talks :)

I would love to improve my Polish and my French. I am beginning to learn spanish, so help with this language is highly appreciated :D
I am also just open for getting to know you, your thoughts, your interests, and I try to broaden my mind via learning from you :)
I would also like to learn clarinet :P ;)

I can share my time with you - I think time is one of the most valuable "things" everyone of us "owns".
