About Me

I am a joyful and adventurous person. In the future I wish to work in the educational field and with environmental issues. At the moment I am volunteering and travelling in Asia, learning new things everyday and discovering more about the world and myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

No map can show the true colors and life of a city or a country like a local person can.

My first couchsurfing experience in Italy was better then my expectations, and during my study internship in Turkey, I continued to travel and meet people, talk to them and really experience every place I stayed in.

I didn't have an opportunity to travel for a long time. In Myanmar I hope to meet people who can show and tell me me more about culture and lifestyle there.

When I'm back in my home country, I'll try to show the same kindness I received to couchsurfers visiting Lithuania - one more reason to get my own place finally :)

Music, Movies, and Books

There is always a song or a melody playing in my mind and I often start singing without even realizing it :)
Few artist I have enjoyed listening during my life: De Phazz, Pink Floyd, Florence + the machine, Arctic Monkeys (AM album), Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros, The Beatles, Bonobo, Samurai Champloo and Hellsing's OSTs, Led Zeppelin, also Ray Charles, few songs by Imagine Dragons and One Republic, the soundtrack of Into the wild movie (Eddie Vedder) and tv series Nashville, Ray Lamontagne (album Trouble), Damien Rice and many more...

I would never ever pick my favorite book, but here are few I really like:
Narcissus and Goldmund, Anna Karenina, The Lord of the Rings, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Fight Club, Pride and Prejudice, 1984 and Animal Farm, The Hitch Hikers Guide to Galaxy, The Doors of Perception, Brave New World, books by Naomi Klein, Kurt Vonegur, Viktor Peleving...
Many years ago I read lots of Stephen King's horror stories and science fiction also. Oh, and I loved Stieg Larsson's Millenium series, Harry Potter books, early Haruki Murakami books, The Hunger Games series and about few hundred more :)

I don't have a favorite genre in movies also and I can appreciate a good action / drama movie (like Fight Club, V for Vendetta, Into the Wild or The Music never Stopped) just as much as a good older movie (like 12 Angry Men, Charade or Dr. Strangelove).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did a parachute jump from an airplane!
