Heyooo, my name's Mia, I'm from Sydney but am living in Göttingen, Germany, for a year for study. I'm an open minded and laid-back person, I laugh a lot and am a big fan of good conversation. I haven't really used couch surfing much but am looking forward to taking advantage of such a great concept.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I'm currently unable to offer a couch to anyone, I'm keen to travel around Europe while in Germany and couch surfing sounds like the best way to do it. While hostels can be fun, they can also be a little tiring and they're certainly not the best way to meet locals.

Hopefully in a year or so I'll also be able to offer up my couch in Sydney.

Interests

Travelling... of course.... languages, reading, many types of music, arts, nature, exploring every type of place, whether it be a forest or an abandoned area or a new city. I'm pretty open to 'new experiences' so really my interests vary and are likely to change when I'm shown or exposed to different ways of looking at things. I'm not really 'fixed' in everything I like and certainly appreciate other people's interests and passions, even if they are unfamiliar to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always struggle with this question... there are too many things to choose from...

I've been watching a lot of Australian films in the last year or two, we have a really cool film industry that unfortunately doesn't get as much attention as it should, even within Australia. I am definitely able to recommend hosts an Australian film or two.

Teach, Learn, Share

While I can't think of any particularly strong or distinct skills that I can offer around, I think I'm pretty handy and inventive when it comes to problem solving.

Good conversation, a few stories, and I'm glad to contribute to the household for however long I'm there.
