About Me

I'm a Finnish freelance designer who loves new inventions and ideas. I enjoy the freedom that comes with project work. It gives me the possibility to travel or even move abroad for a while.

I'm social and easygoing person. I've lived in 5 countries so far and love the exitment related to moving in to a new county. When I'm travelling I tend not to make specific plans but rather just go with the flow. Many times the best things happen spontaniously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and getting to know new people from different cultures. When I'm travelling I like to experience things as locals do. Couchsurfing seems to be a great way to meet local people, hear their thoughts and learn from their ways of living.

In Sydney I've been going to some couchsurfing events and met lots of wonderful people from all around the world. We've had movie and game nights, dinners and hikes together. It's been great :)

I'm a couchsurfing rookie and have only surffed few times so far but I'm looking forward to getting more couchsurfing experiences and to meet great people.

Interests

I'm always up for an adventure. I love design, creativity, arts & crafts, painting, making clothes and modifying old ones, listening & playing music, novels, movies, following and doing sports like bootcamp and group fitness. I get easily bored so I need a lot of activities to keep me busy :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Kenya I got an opportunity to visit a masai tribe. We dined with them and stayed overnight in their clay hut. Eventhough we didn't have a common language and I was a stranger to them they were still very hospitable and welcoming. That was an unforgettable experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In my job I'm used to fixing things so feel free to give me your woollen socks to mend, loose shirt buttons to sew or too long pant legs to be shortened. If you have any design related dilemmas I'm happy to help :) I like cooking and baking so I can also help with that.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, England, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Kenya, Lithuania, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City State
