About Me
Welcome to my profile!
My name is Léa, I am a 23 year-old French girl living in the UK at the moment - but heading back to France soon! I live between Bordeaux (where I am from) and Lyon (where I study at the ENS). Whenever you are in any of these cities, I would be very happy to host you if I am around, or at least to tell you about the good places to go to, whether it be for the pleasure of the eyes... or of the stomach!
My friends usually define me as an open-minded and outgoing person, and I like to believe it is the case!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am studying English at the moment, and I have always loved languages and travelling. I love learning about new languages that I don't or barely know, and get to know new cultures. I am very curious about the world in general! I think Couchsurfing is the perfect way of making people meet from all over the world, with a sort of implicit trust that I find absolutely wonderful.
Even though hosting might be difficult for me in the next two years, as my degree is going to be very demanding work-wise, I still really want to travel, and whomever will be a great host will be more than welcome whenever I have a bit more time during the year/on holiday, and after my degree!
Interests
I am passionate about languages (especially English, but I am now curious to learn new ones), dancing, literature, travelling (what a surprise!), enjoying my friends' and family's company, sports...

Music, Movies, and Books
I love dancing on commercial music, sing my heart out on rock and pop and shed tears on classical music... I know it sounds untrue but I like every kind of music: I can listen to anything, from opera to metal... Of course there must be some instrument that I am not very familiar with and which sound I might not appreciate, but I haven't heard them yet!
Regarding movies, it is a bit the same story: I love "The Bridges of Maddison County" and any adaptation of any book of Jane Austen. Big fan of the Marvel movies as well, but "La Vie est Belle" might definitely b my favorite. It's the perfect balance between comedy, history, romance and tragedy.
I am a big fan of Jane Austen: I know this might be a put-off as it sounds really cheesy but it's true. My other favorite English writer would probably be Oscar Wilde.
Regarding French literature, I also love Maupassant, Paul Valéry and Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt ( "La Vie de l'Autre" changed MY life).
