Overview
About Me
I grew up in İzmir and have also lived in Stockholm, Lyon, Segovia, Madrid, NYC, Istanbul, and Ankara. Currently, I work remotely as a data analyst for a technology start-up.
I have a passion for learning, particularly in the areas of machine learning, and anything that intersects language, human behavior, and technology. I also have a fondness for unusual cinema and art.
In my free time, I enjoy rollerblading, writing, and learning new skills, whether it's math or sewing (they're more related than one might think). I'm open-minded and love embracing all that life has to offer.
I'm excited to travel and host as much as possible in 2024-2025.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't want to be one of those who say a book changed their life, but it sort of happened. After reading "Die with Zero", I decided to invest more in experiences, particularly traveling and experiencing things more while I am still young. P.S. I am not big on "self-help" books and this one might be the exception.
I am on Couchsurfing because I had wonderful experiences as a host and as a guest. I see it as a great way of getting to know new people and new cultures. While some might see it as merely free accommodation, the deep connections and friendships you form while traveling are invaluable.
Interests
My hobbies include traveling (duh), reading, making clothes, taking aimless long walks, rollerblading, watching films, learning languages, and alphabets.
Binge reading Kahneman, Murakami, and Kafka recently.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my fav directors include David Lynch, Mike Leigh, Jim Jarmusch, Almodovar.
Recently I watched and loved Perfect Days. It really exceeded my expectations.
Some bands I like are Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks, Tame Impala. You get the vibe :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my 16 year old brother's friends came up to me the other day and said "Your brother is proud of you and never misses an opportunity to brag about you. He really loves you".
I managed to make my cool basketball player brother proud. That's one thing I'm super proud of.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you how to rollerblade, and make Turkish food.
Learn: I am interested in learning about anything you are passionate about. Sounds cliche, but I absolutely love hearing people talk about things they are passionate about, anything from fashion to quantum physics. Maybe not football though. I somehow never grew an interest in football.
Share: Turkish delight if you are a big Narnia fan, but trust me, I can introduce you to much better deserts from Turkey.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love sharing memories and laughter, but all the cheesiness aside (pun intended), I love cooking. I'd love to share some meals with the host, and I'm happy to cook!
