Hello! My name is Angelika, friends call me Tex. I'm from Dallas, Texas but have been a wide eyed wanderer from the time I was a wee thing. My mother began traveling with me when I was 7 years old so she has blessed and cursed me with that beautiful passenger we call Wanderlust. I was living in Dublin, Ireland as a masters student at Trinity and as a musician when I met my husband, Filipi, who is from Florianopolis, Brazil. He was working as a sushi chef and learning English. We fell in love in our favorite city and began traveling together, where we have now moved to Brazil and built our own house in the country. We are musicians so our household is constantly filled with music and good food thanks to Chef Husband Filipi.

I am an absolute bookworm. It would be impossible to list anything out here, it's just safe to say that I consume literature as a dietary need. Filipi and I love Netflix binging and are therefore always open to new cinematic adventures!

We love a good jam session and would love to share tunes with every person we encounter. I play violin, mandolin, the Irish tenor banjo, and piano- I sing when forced. Filipi plays the piano accordion, guitar, whistle, and harmonica. Between us, you can learn English and Portuguese. I am also conversational in French, Spanish, and Greek so would love to have practice partners. Filipi can also teach you to make some beautiful sushi or even spar with you to train in the wonderful martial art of Brazilian Jiujitsu.

I am a makeup artist and can do your makeup for a special event or give you lessons! We can also teach and practice with you Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Greek. Filipi is a chef and a black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu and can cook for you or teach you either!
