I am Maria, 21 year old from Hamburg. Most of the time of the year I am occupied studying law in Berlin or from Sep 2018 in Brussels, other than that I love to meet friends at cafés, bars or restaurants and spend a good time with them. I am a very active and adventurous person, so I am almost up to everything. I am a very sociable person, who loves to listen to stories, as well as sharing some.
I absolutely love food! Traveling means trying new food, which I always enjoy. Back home I love to cook on a daily basis, because it's a really relaxing ritual and you have healthy delicious food as a result.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of somebody letting you in their house and showing you a part of their world. It is so interesting to see how people around the world live. Just trusting some stranger from another part of the world so much to let them into your appartment or to stay at theirs is both scary and fascinating at the same time, but it also shows, that people are fundamentally good.
It is of course way more fun to explore a city with a local, because they usually know the place, but also as a local showing people around is so much fun, because you get to know people and their stories.

Interests

Food! I love finding good restaurants, streetfood etc. I also love to cook and bake.
Music! Music always have been a big part in my life. I used to be in a choir and orchestra. I also like to go to concerts.
Dancing! Who doesnt like dancing?! Not knowing how to dance isn't an excuse :)
Languages! I really like lto learn and practice new languages. Currently learning French. What I want to learn in the future is Italian, Dutch and Turkish, but for the moment I am already fed with French.
Outdoors! Hiking and camping are such good ways to escape the big city from time to time and come down, enjoy the night sky and the absence of any city sounds.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like Thriller, Musicals, Drama and from time to time a good old teen movie.
Books: I read mostly really easy literature like love dramas, because I read enough complicated stuff in school all day long.
Music: Anything from Classical Music, to Rap, to Rock, to Pop, to Oldies I guess.

I once rolled a cigarette with one hand. I was pretty proud of myself.

I can teach you the languages I know, the dishes I can cook and how to open a beer with a lighter ;)
