About Me
Hmmm... It's always difficult to describe yourself. Most of it I only know from my friends, so it really is better to meet me to know for yourself. But here's something;
I'm an engineer living in Nottingham. I've just bought a quaint little house with a fantastic garden (it's all about the garden). It's got a tree house & fire pit so I'm probably still a big kid inside. I love to travel. It's the only thing in life that makes sense. Meet new people. Experience new cultures. Go into the unknown. Why not! I'm gentle, humble and just up for living to the full :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm totally new to couchsurfing and I thought this would be a great way to meet new travelers whilst still paying off my house. If I can't travel, I'll let the travelling come to me :) Also, since starting this, I've had that happiness I usually feel when I go travelling. I think it's the excitement of meeting new people and learning something new. So hopefully I can offer up my abode to the wondering traveler and show them the hospitality the British have to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies:
Of course there's loads, but if I list my top ten I'd go with:
Stand By Me
Labyrinth
Dead Man's Shoes
The Beach
The Man From Earth
12 Angry Men
Limitless
Blood Diamond
Children of Men
... and my new favourite, Apocalypse Now! (I could talk about that film all day :)
Music;
Mostly chillout & liquid dnb. It's pretty much summer now so might add well put some liquid soul in there to dance to :p
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a great fascination looking up into the sky. Living in the Midlands, the night sky will show you the moon, a couple of planets and a handful of stars at best. But on the salt flats in Bolivia, at 3,000m above sea level, that sight was a dream!
Teach, Learn, Share
Water! Want to learn about water? Or wastewater. Got plenty of talk to give on that :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories!! I love to hear them and tell them. I'm an easy guy to chat to so I'm sure we'll find something good to talk about.
