Overview
About Me
My name is Cecilie - easier pronounced CeciliA, but feel free to call me Cece! I'm 25 years old and from Denmark (hence the blond hair and blue eyes). In 2015 I studied a semester in Louisiana, and I fell completely in LOVE with the south, which is why I'm back! I'm currently studying at High Point University in North Carolina, as part of my Master's program at home, where I'm majoring in English (Literature, Linguistics, History and Culture).
There's extra room in my suitcase for more experiences, which is why I've decided to travel around for a bit in December before returning back to Denmark for Christmas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I got to know couchsurfing last time I was in America, where I spent five weeks traveling with a couple of friends, and we had so much fun with it! This time I'm on my own, which just makes me more eager to meet new people along my way!
Interests
Being an English major I love my dusty book, but I'm also a very social person, who enjoys a nice cup of coffee in good company and a fun night out. When I go to new places I like to explore the city and the nature, and I'm always up for a good hike!

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all kinds of music, especially when live!
The same goes for books, both the old classics and the new and popular ones; right now I'm really into historical fiction, where I'm learning a little while being entertained.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've lived on a farm on a mountain in Argentina - with no running water or cell-reception (Forget about wi-fi!) for two months, taking care of MONKEYS! Basically we helped rehabilitate monkeys that had been separated from nature, and taught them to live together and be free monkeys again; that was pretty amazing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm also in a good mood, ALWAYS, and very excited about anything new, but there's probably not anything I love more than good Danish "hygge" (basically just being really comfortable in a cozy environment with good company, and perhaps some warm drinks, a nice conversation or movie) - which I will gladly introduce the host to!
