My name is Ólafur, you can call me Olaf :)

I am a personal fitness trainer and videographer from Iceland, I live in the northwest part of Iceland, on an old farm surrounded by mountains and fields.

I grew up in Reykjavík, the capital city and I've traveled all over the world, living abroad in few countries as well. I love traveling, experiencing new things and making friends :)

I'm an easy going laid back down to earth type of guy, but also the type that possesses lots of energy and with my head up in the clouds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't been very active on couchsurfing in a while, due to school, work and of course, the pandemic. I originally signed up because I was a budget traveler, but since then I've made friends for life that I've continued to visit many times.

Couchsurfing is a great platform to connect with likeminded people, make friends and create great memories together, that's why I am on couchsurfing :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 19 years old I moved to Japan, exclusively to train Kendo (japanese fencing) all by myself, without any exchange programs or anything like that. I just wanted the experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you work out or go to the gym, and need some help with exercises, motivation or mindset, I can help you out with that. We can do a session together.

As a videographer/photographer, I can teach you how to make better videos or photos for your social media, family album or whatever, like framing your shots, editing them and even what is the best time of the day to shoot.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you about Icelandic culture and language if you are interested, also about Japanese culture and (very basic) language, I used to live there almost 2 years.
