Hi, my name (you guessed it) is Eliot, I'm 23, a full time student and a worker part-time. I was born in Montreal (MTL for the intimate), so I know the place pretty well. Right know i'm studying water sanitation ( I know it sounds boring, but trust me, it pretty interesting, if your into that whole clean water thing) I'm a french born quebecer, but I work in a all english workplace, so no worries , I can handle my way around Shakespeare's tongue. Also, I'm living with 2 roommates , one is studying at Mcgill in teaching, and the other just finish a college degree in computing. There really incredible people and I hope you'll learn to like them as much as I do.

The idea of meeting new people fascinate me. I traveled to some extent, but not enough for my taste, so I thought to myself "what's the best way see new culture/people without travelling ?" that's how I got here. I am really here for 2 things, first, for meeting new people, learn from them, and, second , to get some references for possibly use couchsurfing to travel one day.

I'm a big fan of the german language, thought I gotta admit it's way harder to learn alone than I thought. Also I forecast to go on a trip in China in the next couple of years,I'm a fan of Magic : The Gathering, it's a trading card game, if you don't know it, and you you'd like to learn, I would love to show it to you around some beer from one of the many great microbrewery in Montreal. From a cultural standpoint i'm a fan of philosophical and political debate, being done in a respectable way, Also I don't agree with the practice of the state of Israel , seems like a weird point to make, but the past I showed me that for some reason people tend to become extremely defensive when I talked about this issue, so it's just a little FYI.

Musica, film e libri

I'm a really big fan of metal, that it be Doom, Black, Thrash, or any other, I simply love it. I am fan of other kinds of music thought, truth be told the only thing I don't really like is country, Everything else, may it be J-Pop, Folk, Classic, Jazz, Rap, Psychedelic, I love to learn form all genres. Movie wise I'm pretty casual , I like watching things that are made outside of the western culture frame, but I got to admit I can wait for the next Star Wars ( if you didn't guess it by know, i'm pretty nerdy). Books are really one of my biggest occupation, I try to read books in a cycle of, political essay, philosophical essay and fiction work, may it be fantasy, historical , or science-fiction. The only redeeming factor in my reading it that I must learn from them, anything from facts, to an idea, if I don't, I find really hard to complete the book, so if you have any suggestion I would love you to learn from you.

One of my greatest souvenir on my trip to Berlin (my only for that matters) , and in life for that matter, was going up north to go see the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, I'm not a man that believes in the supernatural, but to be absolutely honest, the feeling of dread that filled me while I was there had a profound impact on me, Not only did it tangibly help me understand what Humanity can do, it help me realize We all have a role in this humongous play that is human history, thus we must not only see it as a source of dread and despair, put a point from which We can advance, even if minuscule.

Everything, if you want to tell me a history, teach me something, share a beer, I will always be open, for I can find that as much as I can teach, there's always so much to learn. I will also give you a good tour of the Montreal in a more traditional tourism way, I will also show you the more casual, Montrealers stops. there is so much more to this city than the Old Port and the Olympic Stadium ( thought they are awesome).
