Overview
About Me
I'm a happy, easy going 21 year old from Iceland with a passion for travelling and meeting new people. My biggest interests are playing music, singing, playing guitar, creative writing and of course my thirst for adventures and meeting new people. I'm travelling through Europe this summer with my boyfriend Atli to play in the streets and pursue our passion for art and music. We'd love to get a spot here and there to sleep and we promise to be thankful and friendly. We'll even play you a hippie folk-tune or put on a spontaneous funk-jazz-groove. Whichever you prefer. Looking forward to seeing you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I love meeting new people and it would be amazing to live with a local when travelling to a new place. You get absorbed into the atmosphere of the daily life of the place instead of being an outsider staring in a window. It's also great to get advice for things to do from someone who lives there instead of reading som travelling guide.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of different music but at the moment I'm mostly listening to 70's folk , like Joni Mitchell, Fairport Convention, Jefferson airplane etc
I also love 80's alternative rock like The Cure, The Smiths, Morrisey and more.
But then I always love an artist that's much of a poet and put emphasis on the lyrics, the genre doesn't always matter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most exciting childhood experiences I had was when I lived in Gothenburg in Sweden. In the summer when I was about 12-13 me and my best friend used to sneak out of the house in the night and take the tram downtown with a guitar on the back. We went on the biggest street in the city and played for money, we met a lot of teenagers partying and a lot of random drunk people. People who stopped talked sang with us, gave us money and sometimes even alcohol(people must have thought we were a couple of years older than we were). I think I smoked my first cigarette and had my first kiss on one of these nights. These midnight adventures are still very clear in my memory and I can still recall the butterflies in the stomach and the tickling feeling of doing something so forbidden but also the excitement from meeting lots of new people and getting appreciation for our music. When I think back I realize how dangerous this was and how our parents would but absolutely have freaked out if they knew but we fortunately never got caught.
This is why I want to travel trough Europe to play music in the street, I want to experience this exciting experience once more! Now when I'm a little older, wiser, hopefully a more mature artist and not my mom and dads responsibility anymore.
