About Me

I was 19 years old, my relationship of 2.5 years just ended and I started at uni 2 months ago, when I decided I didn't want to study yet, but see more of the world first. I booked an open ticket to Sydney, Australia and didn't know how long I would stay there. I ended up staying there until the last day of my visa and asked my parents (very nicely) if I could borrow some money to see more of this side of the world (as I never been there before). With their support I was able to also visit Hong Kong and Thailand.

That was when I got my travel bug and changed the way how I am today. Open-minded, easy going and positiveminded. After that trip, I went on a Europe trip, did an exchange semester in Prague, spent a summer in Vietnam and Indonesia and am now in the middle of my half a year of Latin America.

In all my previous travels I always stayed at hostels to meet new people, but I always missed that local "touch" or connection. That is why I decided to join Couch Surfing during this "final" trip before I start working full-time.

I always try very hard to connect with locals during my travelling by trying to speak the language and a lot of smiling, but it is not always very easy. That is why I hope to learn more of the places I visit and their people by meeting fellow Couch Surfers.

If you would like to see/read more about me, you can check my Instagram. During this trip I try to post some pictures of each place that I visit and write a little story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard great things about couchsurfing! I've always stayed in hostels, but I would like to experience how it is to live with a local. I love to learn more about local cultures and habits!

At the moment I'm travelling through Latin America and I'm planning to host people when I'm back in Amsterdam. So if you'll be travelling through Europe and need a place to sleep from June or later, send me a text!

Disco, jazz, techno, blues, deephouse, old school hip hop!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a few weeks in Sucre, Bolivia with some amazing travellers that I met there. We all took Spanish lessons and went together to Salar de Uyuni.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a very open-minded person and like to talk about anything. I can cook (and dance) and love food. So we can exchange experiences while having some nice food and maybe a wine or beer! I do think I can be a good guest/companion during the time that I visit you. I'm also clean and tidy up behind my butt!
