我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have made a very inspiring experience on Sicily using Couchsurfing.
The people I met there were amazing and could teach me a lot of things, not only about their hometown /-country but also about life and someone's point of view.

I want to give this huge thing back to people and show my wonderful student city Augsburg.
On my long way home from Tartu (Estonia) to Augsburg I spent some days in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Couchsurfing was the best way to find some great locals who showed me places I would have never discovered alone!
I love secret places and the conversations with people who are hosting travelers.
In my opinion, sometimes it is more important to be with the right people than "checking out" all the great sights you have to see as a tourist. So for example in Helsinki, when it was raining, I had so much fun when I just looked for an umbrella in a second hand shop with my couchsurfer. Of course I missed some churches and maybe interesting things but those memories you are sharing with the people you are staying with make your trips special!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Spending the Estonian Midsummer on the island Saaremaa.
We have been there for the "White Days" and this was just enchanting.
You could see the moon on one and the sun on the other side of the sky and the whole atmosphere was dark purple.

My foreign semester in Estonia in general was amazing, because now I have a great European network of wonderful people who are waiting for me to go hiking or just to pass by, say hello and remember the "good old times".
