One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On February I took part to this coding challenge organized by a big american company called Jeppesen (a Boeing subsidiary). The goal of the competition was to write the cleanest and the more computationally-optimized code to solve a problem published on their website. Anything really difficult, but well, I won it, and as award I got an invite to their R&D office in Göteborg, to meet them and have a lunch with them. Not being a professional programmer myself (I do something else for a living), it feels nice to have my algorithms appreciated by a company who does complex software systems for airlines and ships. I will die poor under the Öresund bridge anyway, but at least I got a free trip to Göteborg and some free food :-)
