Most importantly for Couchsurfing, I am clean and trustworthy. I am an American teaching third grade in Shanghai, China.

I love almost all food; however, I am a vegetarian 99.5% of the time.

I love being outside. It makes me feel alive.

I enjoy cities, deserts, mountains, beaches, etc. I like it all.

My ancestors come from Hawaii, China, Japan, Germany and England. I feel like everyone and no one.

For ten years, I owned a swimming pool service and repair business in Chicago which allowed me three to four months to travel during the winter. After that, I lived in my van for 5 1/2 years to. During that stretch, I worked as a bus boy, a waiter, a bartender, a bicycle taxi driver, a roady, and a manual laborer to name a few. I did some traveling when I could, and daily life felt like I was traveling. About six years ago, I moved to Vietnam to teach English. I did that for four years before returning to university to get a degree in education. I've been teaching in Shanghai a little over a year. That's my adult life.

In general, I am an introvert.
