About Me

I'm moon and sun. But who am I to tell? You might as well approach and talk to me, so you'll know for yourself. Bottom line is: I'm just a nice guy who sometimes needs help and who sometimes can offer help.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started on couchsurfing because I needed a place to stay for a Symposium. I'm interested in helping and being kind to real people, so if you need anything, you are invited to approach me and I'll get to know you from yourself. This, to me, is a platform for people who like to help each other.

Interests

Culture, science, spiritism and spirituality, learning new/different things from different sorts of people, books, drag queens, comedy, TV series, idiosyncrasies, unique experiences, classical movies, volunteering, leftist political theory. There's no one absolute meaning of life that holds to each and every person in this planet due to different cultures and histories. Nevertheless, each and every person in this planet wakes up daily to live their lives for a reason. Which one is yours?

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I am in a very Indie phase: I've been listening to bands like Peter, Bjorn and John, of Montreal, Portugal the Man, Hard-FI, Shaka Ponk, Foster the People, The Fratellis, Cage the Elephant, Broken Bells, Sir Sly, Gorillaz, Ghost Mice, MGMT, Mischief Brew, Nirvana, The Dø, Paul Baribeau, Haken, Onsind, Cake, Max Frost, Days N Daze, Tame Impala etc. Other than those, I love Brazilian (Elza Soares, Os Mutantes, Tropicália, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, reaching Villa-Lobos), Québécoise and folk music (Mauvais Sort, Mes Aïeux, Les Cowboys Fringants...); love classical/erudite, love weird/creepy, love funky, love French/Montreal/Breton (Tri Yann) groups...

Movies: I like some by Xavier Dolan, but not all of his movies, please. I really love Lars von Trier, that's my favorite; dancer in the dark is for some reason my favorite movie ever. Live for Alvodóvar. Generally, I tend to like Spanish and German movies, (Wim Wenders, thank you). Loved Bacurau. One movie that quite touch me was Hanami - Cherry Blossoms, by Doris Dörre. One film I'm yet to watch is Madame Satã, a Brazilian one. I like the classical comercial ones too: back to the future, ghost, pulp fiction, you name it.
