Overview
About Me
I'm a comunicative, easygoing, social liberal kind of guy.
As a guest I like to keep my things in order and respect my host's house rules.
I went to film school and I work mostly in editing. If you get me started, I will explain to you in minutiae the diferences and similarities between most video editing softwares. So I guess it might be better not to get me started :D
One could say I'm kind of a geek and be pretty much right about it. I think I've seen geekier types, though. For instance, I won't bother you with any Aquaman stories. So there's always that.
I'm starting on Couchsurfing now and I look forward to being the best host I can just as much as a cool guest to others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What better way to get to know places than to see them through the eyes of locals who are eager to host travelers?
What better way to make new friends in places you visit?
I want to experience the hospitality of different cultures around the world and have people from these cultures coming to my home.
I want to strike friendships not bound by geographical limitations. I want to be part of the world as I want the world to be a part of me.

Oh, boy. That's only music so far, isn't it? And to think I can't even play two chords on a guitar.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was awarded best film editor three years in a row here where I live, which might not be "amazing", but is pretty unheard of.

Teach, Learn, Share
I like to make connections between different languages I know so I love to learn and teach different languages to people. I once served as a casual (but quite competent) English translator to a couple of Italian guys in Amsterdam.
I can tell you about the comic books I love and about film language, form and pace.
I can also tell you a bit about the political and social scene in Brazil, specially southern Brazil. Tumultuous times down here...
Also, I have plenty of theories about Lost, such as Jack bringing Charlie back to life in season 1 with the use of his very own healing superpowers!
And I'm avid to learn all sorts of things. From playing an instrument, dancing, getting to know new authors or musicians or artists, to different views on social, economical and diplomatic issues.
Also, If you can teach me how to surf, I'm game.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I might happen to be taking one of my cameras with me.
One is a Canon EOS 60D and the other is a Blackmagic Design Production Camera 4K. I can take pictures or shoot digital film.
I can also teach you a thing or two about editing so we can get the pacing of your video just right. If you're okay with me bringing a copy of your dailies back home, I can even edit them for you and send the cut video over the internet.
