About Me

Hi, my name is Bhavya. I'm a full time Musician and a passionate wanderer. Also, I'm brand new to Couchsurfing. Here's hoping the CS world is kind. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the love of meeting many new people and, let's face it, also to save some dough in the process? Haha. But meeting new people for the most part, I promise.

I'm new here but the idea of hosting people sounds great to me. As soon as I have a steady base (I'm always on the move), I'd love to start hosting people. Hurray to a new life goal!

Interests

Music, Books, Coffee, Food, Traveling. Not necessarily in that order, though.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too much to list here, in perfect honesty. Let me attempt-
Music: Hindustani Classical, Blues, Ghazals, Western Classical, Indian Folk, Indie, Old Bollywood...

Artists: Begum Akhtar, Mehdi Hassan, Norah Jones, Sara Bareilles, Kishori Amonkar, Etta James, Illayaraja, Asha Bhosle...

Authors: Ayn Rand, PG Wodehouse, Khushwant Singh, Khaled Hosseini, Orhan Pamuk, Ayelet Waldman, Jhumpa Lahiri, Ian McEwan...

Movies: Not many. Not many, at all. However, I can get myself to enjoy just about anything, which is actually why I haven't many preferences here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Conquered my fear of heights.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching: I could try teaching Indian Classical Music, but I'm not sure if I'm equipped with the patience to do the same.
Sharing: I'd love to share my collection of books and Music, apart from a treasure trove of fascinating anecdotes.
Learning: Aren't we all learning one thing or another everyday?

What I Can Share with Hosts

A song or two, for sure. Add to that lots of stories, many engaging conversations, a handwritten letter and all things old school.
On that note, one must never greet people empty handed and so you can always expect a small token, even if it's just a pack of cookies. *Crunch*

Best,
Bhavya
