Overview
About Me
Hey there! I'm Nori, a young Hungarian woman who loves arts and languages. I'm in my twenties, which I think is the perfect decade to discover myself and the world. Travelling, for me, means getting "lost" in new places, meeting new people and exchanging our thoughts, ideas and experiences with each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
"We'll just start walking today and see the world and the way the world walks around and talks, the way it really looks. I want to see everything now. And while none of it will be me when it goes in, after a while it'll all gather together inside and it'll be me. Look at the world out there, my God, my God, look at it out there, outside me, out there beyond my face and the only way to really touch it is to put it where it's finally me, where it's in the blood, where it pumps around a thousand times ten thousand a day. I get hold of it so it'll never run off. I'll hold on to the world tight some day. I've got one finger on it now; that's a beginning."
/Ray Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteering in a French school for nine months: teaching English to French students, French to immigrants, organising programs, leading workshops and promoting European values and mobility, all while exploring the beautiful region of Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur, and making friends with other volunteers from all parts of the world.
Spending five months in Leuven, Belgium with an Erasmus scholarship – I studied at one of the best unis in Europe, ate fries, waffles and tried countless of beers, learnt some Dutch and explored the country as best I could.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am starting to feel the need to learn cooking, so I would be happy to help you in the kitchen and learn some recipes from you. I can also share some Hungarian recipes with you, as well as teaching you Hungarian expressions, showing you some music or recommending films and books. I am always up for discussions about arts, languages, or humans in general. If you'd like to, you can practice English and French with me as well.
