Overview
About Me
I am a 26 year-old Moroccan Student in the University of Texas at Austin. I'm majoring in Community and Regional Planning. I have a background in architecture from Morocco and I worked as one for a while. It's not by coincidence that I chose this field. I have always been interested in buildings and human interactions that shape the fabric of the city. For me, this is a way to see beyond what seems to be trivial in the world, understand it, and improve it. Planning does certainly not create utopia but it is a way to seek it and make things better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people is not only about knowing about others but also knowing about ourselves. In my opinion, the more we get in touch with new people, the more we open up and learn.
Also, combining travel with couchsurfing would help get the best of the experience by communicating with real people rather than that fake person at the reception of the hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Rock'n'Roll, some rolling stones or Bob Dylan on a Friday night before taking a walk in a summer night would be just perfect.
Movies: I am a joyful person enjoying drama movies that make people cry so much that the next day there's no room for doom and gloom. Something probably like House of Sand and Fog.
Books: Enfant du Sable - Tahar Ben Jelloun that I recommend if you're interested in taking a look at what it feels like to be a woman forced to be a man.
