About Me
I am from Guatemala, at 17 I moved to Canada and then moved to Maine (USA) to go to college.
After graduating, my gf and I moved to the one city in Maine (Portland). I worked at a tallship for the summer, and just recently started working for an environmental organization doing grassroots outreach (aka plan a revolution).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I traveled around Europe a couple of times and Couchsurfing was a great way to meet people and places. I've had great experiences in Couchsurfing and met people I still keep in touch with and visit once in a while.
I believe that meeting people is one of the best things about traveling and I want to get that from my travels and offer that to people traveling.
Interests
Futbol is one of the things I can't live without. Music is another one.
I enjoy reading and talking about books.
I love cooking, and drinking coffee and beer.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Enemy (Denis Villeneuve), The Double (Richard Ayoade), Inception and Memento (Nolan). Quentin Tarantino!
Books: Anything by Julio Cortazar, Garcia Marquez, Eduardo Galeano. I want to read more of Saramago and Camus.
Music: Pretty much anything. I've been getting into alternative latin music and electro-cumbia. Anything tho.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once during an intense kayak expedition off the coast of Vancouver Island, Canada I saw a Humpback whale just a hundred meters in front of me. Pretty amazing.
Hike up the Machu Picchu and the mountain behind it.
Went to a Zapatista community and played futbol with little zapatista children.
