About Me
Hey there, I'm 31 years old. I've lived in Mexico City my whole life, particularly in the southern part of it. Thanks to my parents i got used to move around this massive city pretty well, despite the long distances and sometimes complicated directions.
I studied half of a degree of Food Chemistry, life took a turn and i dropped out to study Graphic design. Focusing on Photography and Illustration. Then life took and even more unexpected turn and nowadays i work in the food industry managing a small factory of Mexican gourmet products.
Thanks to some of my best friends, i've been in contact with many foreigners, which we tour around the city or even the country. I have found that experience to be very enlightening to me, sharing experiences with different cultures, visions and people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After meeting many people from around the world that have visited, i would like to keep on doing so, just as them coming here but even more me finally taking the big step to travel. Which i avoided for so long due to money. Now learning about couch surfing, i know it can be possible with not as many expenses as i had originally thought.
Interests
This is the pretentious part where everybody talks about, reading, movies, photography, traveling, etc etc.
Honestly, at this in my life my biggest interest is to learn, to know more about pretty much everything. And that is something I've got from people i meet, they each teach me something, intentionally or unintentionally.
I like talking a lot, having long chats with the company of a cold beer or a glass of mezcal, jack daniel's or a cup of wine.
I love eating and sharing the experience with others. Taking long walks while looking around.
I draw, i like drawing a lot and i do it regularly, to stress out or even as a job. I also like cooking, i enjoy it and i do it well. Because to be a good cook, first you need to be a good eater. No way you can cook without tasting.

Music, Movies, and Books
So many to pick favorites so ill just name a few that come to mind in this moment.
Music: NiN, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Frank SInatra, Portishead, SOund garden, Alice in CHains, Billie Holiday, Elal Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Deftones, Tool, Morcheeba.
Movies: Memento, The prestige, 12 Monkeys, Dreams, Mullholand Drive, Eastern Promises, Blade Runner, Scott Pilgrim vs The world, Anotehr Earth, Se7en, fuck it, i like so many. I can watch anything and judge later.
Books: I will confess, i'm a late reader, I'm barely starting at this age to actually build a discipline of reading. I'm ashamed to admit i haven't really read many of the classics. I'm more of a short stories kind of person, i like compilations where you read story after story. Like this Canadian Sci Fi book, Southern Suns, or El llano en llamas, The Foundation. One book that really marked me was Catcher in the rye, the moment i read it it really hit close home regarding many aspects of the main character, specially the ending of it all and the conclusion to which he comes...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've grown up... in a mature way. I've opened my eyes to stop wallowing on myself. One tragic event changed my life, ironically for good. And i thank that person for it every day. I'm doing things i never thought about a couple of years ago. Like having people's jobs in my hands, and making sure they keep getting them and more important, improving.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach... spanish, a bit of mexican culture, i can teach how to make pretty good meals with few money. I make some mean mexican salsa :), and i can try to answer anything, or learn in the process.
Learn? Anything, everything, im open for it. I like learning and discovering.
Share, good times, laughter, memories to come.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm respectful, i know to mind my own business. I was also raised to be grateful and cooperative with people. I don't pretend to be a drag for those around me or a rock in the way. I like to cooperate and be as active as possible.
