Overview
About Me
My motto: 'Value everything you have got in your life, do not take it for granted and do not waste your time.'
Who is she?
I am happy traveller..chocolate lover. Non-smoker. Masters engineering graduate.
I have some crazy desire for exploring, learning and trying new things...and wearing hats :)
My hobbies: teaching, spreading happy mood, being a guide, music (saxophone player), good food, baking, reading, wandering, nature, hiking, having a picnic, inline skating, badminton, frisbee, cycling and other sports. My lifestyle is mostly active.
If you would like to visit my city it will be my pleasure to be your guide. Even though I am not much a party person, I really like international environment and sharing! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great platform for travellers who want a more authentic experience.
I want to contribute so I am happy to help other people when travelling. Showing them around incredible hidden local spots. And sharing tips about the best (local) ice-cream place (because most of the time this is what I go for first with chocolate source places)... I enjoyed being a guide for international students.
About my hometown:
Ostrava used to be an ordinary industrial city (nicknamed Steel heart of the Czech Republic). Nowadays it is comfortable to live in this 3rd biggest city of Czech country - there is something for everyone. Especially for shopaholics :) For those who love mountains - Beskydy or Jeseniky are only 1 hour by train far away.
Interests
My interests can vary - depends on what I am currently into...
My passions usually include travelling, listening to some new music, reading books in a hammock, gardening, my dog (golden retriever), playing the saxophone, learning new things, watching documentaries or TV series or improving my home.
Currently, I am attracted by minimalism.

Music, Movies, and Books
I genuinely love music played by Coldplay. There is a pretty large collection of songs on my phone. Yup, music can change my mood instantly. And bring some interesting thoughts in my mind.
I definitely love books more than movies.
My favourite book which makes me always feel better when I am reading it: A complaint free world by Will Bowen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've joined ErasmusStudentNetwork!!! And found out that being a student could bring you much more than a diploma! Students helping students. If I could confess, I am sure this decision changed my life to be more colourful.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am keen on learning foreign languages and sharing cultural differences. When it comes to teaching, it is my pleasure. And I love sharing baking/cooking recipes, too!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a member of ESN (Erasmus Student Network) http://esn.org/ so I have friends all over Europe and beyond! So if you need to travel somewhere I can likely provide you with a contact of a friendly local :)
I will be happy to share stories from my travels, pictures of my dog and home and also experiences from European youth projects which include outdoor survival. Or I can tell you how it feels to live on a small island for months. Definitely, I love to share baking ideas and language similarities.
I always like to leave the reference so that other travellers could know how amazing host I had. :)
