HEY Y'ALL!

To start with the basics my name is Célia, I'm from France and I'm 22 yo.
Last year I lived in Manchester for about 6 month, then I went back to Paris, I worked to save money for my next and actual trip in New York.

I went there for the Afropunk Festival, in Brooklyn, it's been like 6 years that I was dreaming of going there and, this year, that's what I did :)

I consider myself as an open-minded, friendly and positive human being. I love meeting new people (but I don't force conversations tho, if the feeling isn't there, nobody can help it). My life is about discovering new things, new events, new subculture, new way of thinking and new way of experiencing live. I'm curious and it's always a pleasure for me to know more about something and to learn how to see life from different angles.

Multi-faceted, it capturing the spirit of youths underground cultures by blending an old school aesthetics with a futuristic lifestyle. It offers an eclectic content ranging from music videos, documentary through slices of life in the rough for a total immersion into different subcultures.

Whether they like their Nikes to match their iPhone 6S, that they're into krumping until loosing their breath or that they're use to enhance their beards with the last mac lipstick, they're all looking for something bigger than life and they only ask for discovering themselves and find a place in this society that tend to marginalize and to ignore those who are different.

SLICE offers you a virtual space in which cleavages disappear the time of a click, and open the dialogue between different cultures.

The purpose : learn to know and communicate with others respectfully cause it's hard enough to evolve in a society that does not look like who we feel we are to make war on people who, after all, are not that different from us...

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I decided to register on Couchsurfing first because hotels/Airbnb and even Youth Hostels are what cost you the most money when you travel and after having spend some times in New York I'm saying to myself "yeaaaaaah why don't you try couchsurfing?" and second of all because I think that it can be a beautiful human and authentic experience :)
