I am one of these folks that find it interesting to discover that species-native foods that human digestion evolved with for millenia, don't include most of what people think of as food today, and that trying on a more paleolithic LCHF take on my own food regimen has been rather a boon.

I have made my similar discoveries of my own when visiting naturist communities all over the world, and come to the conclusion that social norms of a society are a set of very slowly evolving ideas that are hardly ever subjected to much competition and don't have much to do with benefit to humanity – for the most part, they just tag along for the ride, and all sorts of people hold on to them for dear life, for fear of shifting any balance from whatever elements of society benefit from the current regime.
