Hi, my name is Machteld, I am a friendly and open-minded student! Currently in my final year of Ba program Cultural Anthropology at Utrecht University, which gives me access to cool books, articles and documentaries about the world that I can share with you when you come and visit! I've taken courses in English linguistics and Postcolonial Studies at the Humanities faculty, as well as theater classes and music (light theatre music and classical). In my free time I like to write (essays and creative writing, mostly), cook with my roommates (2) or go for a run.
Some years ago I had the privilege of traveling throughout beautiful Colombia, where I had many inspiring encounters with people from around the world. I started learning Spanish and continued in Sevilla, Spain, where I spent 5 months on an Erasmus University Exchange. Asi q podemos hablar Espanol, si quieres praticar conmigo!

From experience I know how hard it can be when you're a traveler on a low budget with a lot of enthusiasm to see new places. I would like to contribute to the traveler's community and offer people a comfortable place to stay, as well as get in touch with locals when I have the opportunity to travel again myself.
