About Me

Hey!
I'm a 24 year-old dude with unquenchable thirst for knowledge and new things.
I study engineering, I've just started the course not so long ago. My family is from the southern part of Hungary but I moved to the capital Budapest recently. I grew up in a religious family, though I don't practice anymore and have 2 younger sisters.

Entering the 20's I realized the world has so much more to offer than I see. It is a long process, opening up to people and the world but I believe the risk is worth it and the reward is great. I am not sure what I want to pursue in my life and searching for challenges and experiencing different things can only help.
I'd love to meet new people and take a peek into their lives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I believe millions of surfers cannot be wrong. Is there a better way to meet new cool people and execute a trip on a tight budget? I am always interested in other's world view and beliefs. If you find someone so generous and trusting that they offer their homes to share the least you can do is open up to them and have a great talk. I know I am not yet in a situation where I can host others but hopefully in the coming years this changes and I can give back to the community.

I build my life on a few pillars: sport and fitness, music, knowledge and friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books

If it comes to music my absolute favourite genre is Drum and Bass. I know it is a small segment of today's music culture but I fell in love with it many years ago. It can be soulful liquid or heavy neuro both give me joy depending on mood but I listen to various other kinds. I like house or techno if I go clubbing but I am more picky about that but if I just want to chill and relax I play some fantasy, movie soundtrack or jazz music at home.

Great directors I admire and follow: Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, Baz Luhrmann, Scorsese, Tarantino.

When it comes to books fantasy and sci-fi in all quantities. Lem, Asimov, GRRM, Tolkien, Salvatore, C.S. Lewis. Apart from these I tend to search for books with self-improvement themes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my greatest experience is the 4 days trip I spent near Prague. I decided that I had to see Europe's best and greatest drum and bass festival: Let it Roll. The venue was an abandoned military airport, far from the city or village. Forests left and right anywhere you turn, therefor music could blast without any limits. Devoted crowd incredible vibes, best party I've ever had. From evening to night drum and bass music and dancing, and in the day we visited Prague. Old town was like a dream. I wanted to stay and settle there and then, it was magical.

Teach, Learn, Share

Do I want to learn? Sure, to death.
Am I willing to share? Of course; ideas, thoughts, essential questions. I'm into deep stuff but if you are not that's still okay.
Can I teach? I don't know what you are instered in but here are a few skills I've acquired the past years: basic videoediting, 3D-part design, CAD/CAM, CNC programming, basic music mixing. I'm not a lecturer by any means but what I know I can always share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences, my views, my beliefs. My stories of "really growing up" in London. Stories of a once-barman. My questions about life, purpose and path.
