Overview
About Me
I was born in Sicily, south of Italy, but have spent most of my life living in different countries around the world. At some point I started feeling more "at home" when living outside Italy and sharing with people that have an open mind-set, who are willing to take risks and live authentic experiences.
Last year I quit my job in Ireland and decided to dedicate to travel around Asia. After spending wonderful months volunteering and traveling in SEA, Japan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka, I am now (temporarily) back to my hometown in Sicily, not sure what will come next but I am simply enjoying and flowing with the wind ;)
I am unable to host at the present time, but more than happy to meet up with world travellers that would like a non-traditional Sicilian to show you around my beautiful Palermo :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea to meet and share with like-minded people while exploring different places.
Interests
Spending time in nature and doing outdoor activities, like hiking, trekking, rock climbing. I love the sea and scuba diving, and the salt air and sea scent always put a smile on my face!
I've recently started surfing and despite being terrible at it, I enjoy fighting with the waves and I am looking for places where I could hopefully get better at it.
Cooking and discovering new tastes and flavours, specially when traveling. Photography, good books, deep conversations and mangos are some of the things that I really enjoy in life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost all kind of music, my tastes are very different and wouldn't be able to choose a band or type as music adapts to a particular moment in time.
Currently I listen to classic rock, indie rock, instrumental, jazz, blues and much much more.
Same as above applies to my taste for books but some authors that I particularly love are Murakami, Foer, Pennac, Nothomb.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Living in Argentina while being a vegetarian
- Swimming with luminescent plankton in Cambodia, and with sardines and turtles in the Philippines
- Baby turtles making their way to the ocean in Mirissa beach, Sri Lanka
